SM Stemper Architects engaged BET&R to conduct a survey of the low-slope EPDM and Lightguard roof system covering the Southwest Community Center and Pool. BET&R's thorough roof evaluation work, including core test cuts and moisture meter analysis, was aided by an infrared thermography survey carried out in order to locate and analyze areas of moisture within the existing roof system. BET&R presented findings to the City of Seattle Parks and Recreation Department, and was on-site to provide monitoring and technical consulting services during the reroofing work. BET&R also conducted water testing of the newly installed multi-unit skylight in order to verify integrity of the weather-tight system.
